बेङ्गलूराख्यनगरे श्रुतं पूर्वार्धमादितः।

तस्मादेवाहमाहूतः श्रीमद्भिः श्रोतुमुत्सुकैः।।

• बेङ्गलूर-आख्य-नगरे = in Bangalore-named-city
• श्रुतम् = heard
• पूर्व-अर्धम् = upper-part
• आदितः = from the beginning
• तस्मात् = therefore
• एव = indeed
• अहम् = I
• आहूतः = invited
• श्रीमद्भिः = by the rich ones/nobles
• श्रोतुम् = to hear
• उत्सुकैः = by the interested ones

In the city of Bangalore, I heard the first half. That is why I was invited by the nobles interested in hearing.
